Speech Language Pathology

Laura is a speech-language pathologist with over 17 years of experience working with pediatric clients and their families. She is licensed to provide speech therapy in Minnesota and Wisconsin and holds her ASHA CCC (Certification of Clinical Competency). She enjoys working with families and supporting their child as they gain communication skills. Professionally, Laura has experience working in medical settings, private practices, and educational settings. Her experience primarily focuses on supporting children with their speech and language difficulties. Laura has many years experience supporting articulation disorders, phonology disorders, apraxia of speech, language disorders, resonance/voice disorders, social language difficulties, AAC (alternative/augmentative communication) and feeding difficulties. Her areas of special interest are working with students with cleft palate speech/resonance errors, phonology disorders, and early language disorders. In her personal life, Laura keeps busy spending time outdoors with her family, reading, traveling, and driving her children to their activities. Laura believes building rapport with clients and their families and having families take an active role in their child's speech/language development can positively impact a child's progress in speech therapy.
