Tanya Topper MS, CCC-SLP
In addition to her role on the TherapyWorks administrative team, Tanya Lotzof Topper is a licensed speech-language pathologist who is devoted to making a difference in children’s lives. Tanya has worked in various settings including preschools, hospitals, and private practice.
Tanya is trained in the evidence-based Orton-Gillingham reading program and has worked with children with reading disorders, such as dyslexia. Her primary areas of expertise include expressive/receptive language delays and disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, feeding disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).
Tanya founded, owned and operated Therapy Buddies, a pediatric speech and language practice that merged with TherapyWorks. She brings her unique expertise as the founder of a successful private practice as well as her reputation as a highly regarded and skilled speech pathologist to the TherapyWorks team.
Tanya is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a credentialed Early Intervention Provider through the Illinois Early Intervention Program. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Northwestern University. She lives in the Northern Suburbs with her husband and two children.
Lainey Baron MS, CCC-SLP
In addition to her role as TherapyWorks Clinical Coordinator, Lainey Baron is a practicing speech language pathologist. She has experience treating in the schools with a focus on supporting children in preschool and elementary school with a variety of communication delays and disorders. Lainey has also worked in private practice, providing in-home therapy for families in the Chicago area. Lainey’s areas of expertise include articulation/phonology, social/pragmatics, receptive/expressive language, apraxia, developmental delays, and language processing.
As Clinical Coordinator, Lainey communicates with and supports both the TherapyWorks therapist team as well as the families of TherapyWorks. She hold her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, her Illinois Professional Educators License and her Illinois state license. Lainey lives in Chicago with her husband and two daughters.
