Sessions are provided in your child’s home, school via teletherapy or in our Northfield, IL clinic. We will work together to find the best environment for your child to receive services.

Speech and feeding therapy sessions are 45 minutes. Occupational and physical therapy and social work sessions are 55 minutes.

We understand you may not have time or be able to attend your child’s session. Your child’s therapist will send a re-cap and recommendations after the session. Parent and caregiver communication is very important to us. We will work together to ensure that your child is successful in meeting their goals. We are always available to answer questions, provide recommendations, and brainstorm solutions for your child.

We love it when parents or caregivers are able to participate. When involved in a session, parents are able to implement strategies outside of therapy (which is always beneficial). That said, we understand that your schedule may not allow you to sit in or that your child may work better independently. Your therapist will work with your to create a plan to make sure you’re always in the loop on your child’s progress.

If your child has not been evaluated within the past 12 months, we will conduct an evaluation and write new treatment plan prior to getting started. The evaluation is conducted at your child’s first scheduled session. Your therapist will provide you with treatment goals, frequency recommendations and a general idea of the length of treatment.

If you have a current evaluation report, your child will not need to be re-evaluated. You child’s therapist will review the relevant report(s) prior to getting started.

If your child is unable to participate in a scheduled session, please cancel your session directly with your therapist a minimum of 12 hours in advance. The late cancellation / no show fee is $50 and is not billable to insurance. That said, we understand that children may present symptoms of illness the morning of his/her therapy session.  Parents will not be penalized for late cancellations due to illness. If you do need to cancel the same day as services, please text your therapist directly.
