Vicki Jou MS, CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathology

I have been a speech-language pathologist for over 5 years. I have experience working across the age span, from toddlers to geriatrics, in a variety of settings, including in the home, school, and skilled nursing facilities. I am a strong advocate and implementer of play-based, child-led therapy sessions. I additionally have experience working with AAC, receptive/expressive language difficulties, developmental delay, autism, down syndrome, and articulation/phonology disorders. Outside of being an SLP, I enjoy traveling and trying new restaurants all over Chicago. I live in Chicago with my fiance and 2 cats.

I honestly wouldn’t know where to begin about Vicki. She’s just honestly amazing and I feel with saying she’s amazing it is a understatement to describe her. Vicki is VERY attentive with [my son] and has been so patient...I’m sincerely grateful for her. Her work ethic is above and beyond reproach. She’s very knowledgeable, caring, and passionate with [my son] and myself. Her sincerity and dedication is visible through her, it is unquestionable. With the few amount of time Vicki has had with my son I’ve already seen great improvement in him. My son has been more eager to communicate/speak and I know he looks forward to his appointments with Vicki. Without a doubt, she’s been such a blessing. Couldn’t have asked for anyone better than Vicki.
