My passion for the field of speech-language pathology has grown with each experience I have had. I absolutely love working with children of all ages.
Throughout my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to practice in a variety of specialized clinics. Specifically, I was part of an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Clinic, where I learned and practiced for the entirety of my graduate career. I served children with a variety of speech and language disorders and disabilities, who utilized low-tech and high-tech devices. It was such a joy to see these children express themselves and come to life through the means of AAC.
Upon graduating from San Jose State University, I began working for Chicago Public Schools. I serve children of preschool and elementary ages, with a variety of speech and language needs and/or a variety of disabilities (i.e. ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and more). I have extensive experience with students in general education and special education, with needs ranging from early language delays, fluency (stuttering), apraxia, pragmatics/social language, articulation, AAC, expressive and receptive language delays, and more.
