I’ve been practicing as a speech-language pathologist for just over 5 years. For about a year and a half I’ve been working solely with pediatric feeding/swallowing patients in an outpatient pediatric rehab facility. Since COVID I’ve been doing a combination of in-person and virtual therapy, and I’ve found that virtual feeding therapy can really help facilitate carry-over in the home since parent has to do all of the intervention since I am not there in person, and the child is in his/her normal environment. I can get a much better idea of what a normal mealtime looks like, and help them change their routines/implement new strategies much more effectively. I love feeding/swallowing therapy, and I’d love to join your practice and see these kiddos virtually!
