My experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist began at Helping Hand Center, a therapeutic day school on the southwest side of Chicago. At Helping Hand, I worked with students from age 3-22 with a primary diagnosis of autism. I provided services in the areas of expressive and receptive language, social/pragmatics, apraxia of speech, articulation, auditory processing disorders, fluency, and AAC. Thereafter, I transitioned to Easterseals Academy in Chicago in which I work with kids with the following disabilities: cerebral palsy, autism, EBD, intellectual disability, ADHD, ODD, and others. I aim to help each student communicate in whichever mode is functional (i.e., low and/or high tech AAC, Picture Exchange System, communication boards, verbal speech, etc.). I strive to make learning fun and interactive for all my clients while simultaneously targeting their goals.
