  • How can I help your child succeed?

After graduate school, I spent a brief period of time working in skilled nursing with geriatric clients in the areas of dementia and swallowing disorders. I realized quickly that my passion for speech and language therapy was with individuals with complex needs, and I have spent most of the past 4 years working with children age birth – 22 with severe-complex communication disorders. In therapy, we targeted multi-model communication using sign language, picture communication strategies, verbal speech, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) devices. Additionally, I am currently pursuing my Assistive Technology Certificate from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Recently, I moved back to the midwest from London, England, where I worked at a private pediatric therapy clinic! This experience abroad has increased my awareness and passion for multi-lingual and multi-cultural populations. I also have experience as a clinical instructor for my alma mater within their Speech and Hearing Science department, and loved assisting the next generation of therapists as they embark on a life-long career of learning the wonderful field of speech and language therapy.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child!
