I became an occupational therapist to help children learn, grow, and thrive through play. I completed my doctoral capstone in a 5th grade classroom where I observed the effects of a sensory corner and educated foster care workers on resiliency and trauma-informed communication. I’ve worked in inpatient and outpatient settings mostly with adults but my desire to work with children has remained.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son as well as mountain biking, cooking, and listening to podcasts.
